Five days. Just five days were enough for When Blood Learns to Love, the first book in the trilogy Invisible Cages, Between Shadows and Blood, to reach number one in the “Psychological Suspense Thriller” category on Amazon Spain. It happened during the free promotion. A rise as silent as it was vertiginous: no massive advertising, no gimmicks—sustained solely by the pulse of readers who felt that something within these pages was staring straight at them. 

Two weeks later, the story crossed the boundaries of language and continent. On Amazon India, the same book climbed to number one in three categories: Crime, Thriller & Mystery in Spanish, Foreign Language Romance, and Psychological Suspense. It competed with titles written in French, English, German, Russian, and Japanese—and yet, in that digital Babel of passions, When Blood Learns to Love found its own language: that of trembling. 

None of this was improvised. 
Behind every page lay months of work—rewrites and sleepless nights, successive corrections, evenings when the story seemed to devour me, entire days spent fixing a single line until it breathed with the exact voice. The text was dissected again and again, searching for that precision which can only be reached when the wound bleeds to its own rhythm. Every character—every shadow, every cage—was sculpted from tremor and memory. When Blood Learns to Love was born to entertain, but also to ask what remains of love once innocence dies—to delve into the violence of affection and the moral density of those who love despite the harm. It is not a story about good or evil, but about that in-between zone—the most human one—where both blur together. 

It is a story about the bittersweet becoming of loving without foresight, of surrendering to a gaze while giving everything we are, with light and shadow fluttering. Today, as the novel reaches readers in other latitudes, the second part of the trilogy is already complete. Still untitled, its tone will be darker and more intimate: an exploration of power, redemption, and emotional fracture. If the first volume was a confession, the second will be a broken mirror—each fragment revealing something the characters (and the reader) tried to forget. 

The blood… will bring back memories from the snow… 

The work will soon be translated into other languages, preserving what is essential: its poetic pulse, its restrained breath, its wounded Spanish voice. Because translation will not mean changing the words—it will mean preserving the original wound in another tongue. When literature achieves this—to cross geographies, to overcome language, to find the same emotion on another continent—it is not the author’s merit, but the heartbeat we all share. That which trembles in love and in guilt; that which makes us human, even when the world turns us into beasts.
